Security FAQ

The questions your security review will ask.

Does a LinguAIst server receive our text?

No LinguAIst processing server receives submitted text or page content. Requests go directly from the browser extension to the AI provider your organization configured. The extension keeps no translation history.

Can we restrict providers and tenant settings?

The allowedProviders policy limits provider choices within LinguAIst. Microsoft 365 tenant settings can scope its sign-in. A provider allow-list alone does not distinguish personal and business accounts at the same provider; assess account controls separately.

What does the extension send, exactly?

The text you select and the instructions for the chosen action. For writing improvement, limited surrounding context can be included; one setting turns it off. Provider-side retention and training are governed by your agreement with that provider.

Why does it need access to all websites?

To work in any editor your team uses, from Outlook to internal tools. Broad access does not mean pages are uploaded; text is sent only when an employee triggers an action.

What do we get for our security review?

An architecture and data-flow overview, a permission-by-permission justification and a public privacy policy.

How is LinguAIst licensed for organizations?

LinguAIst is free for personal use. Organizations license it per seat or as a package, with options for white-label, custom features, support and integration with your corporate services. Your AI provider's own licensing and usage terms apply separately. Talk to sales →
